Serious Cocoknits Caddy love!

Well, hello my lovely ones, how are we all? Sorry I haven’t been on here much lately. It seems to have been a bit bonkers here recently. Oh well, only a few days left at school. Everyone is ready for the end of year in the house. It’s definitely been a long one and one to remember! Blimey. I’m not entirely sure what the next school year is going to look like, but I think we are going to have to just take it just as it comes.

Heyho. Has everyone got some yummy yarny projects on the go at the moment? This is my pile.

I seem to be doing rather well and have finished quite a few WIP’s recently. I have to say it’s quite a nice feeling to be finishing off projects. It definitely gives you a sense of achievement. Think the one thing that I love the most about finishing a project, is then being able to give someone a yarny pressie. Can’t beat a yarny pressie! Gives you that warm and glowy feeling inside, knowing that you have given them something filled with a serious amount of TLC and love.

So I just wanted to pop on and quickly talk about my Cocoknits Caddy. I have had it for a few months now from the wonderful Michelle over at The loveliest Yarn Company and I absolutely love it!! Here’s the link to her website.

It’s just exactly what I was looking for and compliments all my other project bags, beautifully!

When your little caddy arrives on your doorstep, you just know that it’s something rather special!! It comes as a kit in two little parcels. I love that you make it up yourself. It gives you a sense of your own personal touch.

The straps can go either way as you can see, but for me I think they go best horizontally with the sides of the bag.

Now as mine was from Michelle over at the wonderful The Loveliest Yarn Company, it comes with the straps in the kit.

I think the one thing, that stands it out from the rest, is the ability to organise all of your little bits and bobs, but then be able to still see them too and carry around your project all at the same time! It’s just mega! It not only fits my knitting kit, but my crocheting kit as well. It has all the tools & notions I need and the space for a project or even two, depending on what you’re making.

It’s even got a large pocket on the one side, that fits my knitting needles case! Which is rather handy as it gives more space inside.

The soft handles have a nice feeling in your hands and you can easily carry it around the house or out and about with you. I took it on holiday a few weeks ago, and it was perfect. It incased everything I needed & kept everything contained in our holiday home.

Another great feature, as you can see, is that it hangs quite happily on the arm of your chair! Well it’s my garden chair at the time, but beach chairs are coming soon! Ekk!!

The fact that all their packaging is all environmentally & sustainable sourced & produced is fab. And all of their products are made with reusable and recyclable products is a huge bonus. This makes a real difference to me! The Caddy is actually made from sturdy washable paper! How crazy is that! And the straps are made from natural, vegetable stained leather. And I have to say there are a really nice touch to the caddy.

As you can see, it really can fit quite a lot inside it’s delightful little protective walls. I will always say yarn & the tools you use to create beautiful things, are very precious cargo and should be looked after with the greatest of respect!

I once heard Lisa from For the Love of Yarn, say that you can have multiple amounts of project bags, when you are a yarny lover and I would have to totally agree with her. You can definitely not have enough project bags in your life!!

So if you are anything like me, then you are totally in need of one of these caddy’s in your life!

Cocoknits – this is an absolute corker!! A huge thank you to Michelle for introducing them to me and a serious speedy delivery, as always!

Happy Yarny time.

For the love of project bags.

Hello my lovely ones, how are we all on this rather drizzly Sunday. It’s a bit nippy isn’t it. It is May right? Hmm. Well I am loving wearing my warm snuggles still. And definitely love crocheting and knitting them too! My feet are still snuggled up in at least 4 pairs of yarny yumminess. Not quite as bad as the depths of winter, when it’s usually 7, but nearly there. I swear we had paddling pools out, this time last year. We definitely had sun cream on, didn’t we? Oh well. Sure it will get better soon.

I had my first vaccine on Friday. Was slightly worried about the whole delightful side effects that can occur, but luckily we have only suffered slightly. My arm is definitely still feeling the love of the vaccine though, but luckily not bad enough for no crocheting or knitting! Phew!! My little lady decide to snuggle up to me, with her crocheting, which was a treat in itself.

So I wanted to jump on here to show you these amazing projects bags from the wonderful Lisa over at For The Love of Yarn.

If you haven’t visited her website recently, then you are seriously missing out! Here’s the link.

I bought mine from Lisa last month and have been carrying it around ever since. It’s such a simple, yet super functional bag. I bought mine when I started my knit socks challenge with Michelle over at The Loveliest Yarn Company. It’s a great size for a big ball of yarn and your needles & bits that go with sock knitting.

I have also used it for a silk shawl, which again the full amount of yarn & the shawl itself fitted inside the bag. So that was a massive plus for me.

I think if you wanted to take a crocheting or knitting kit as well & a few other bits, you may want the larger size. There are two sizes to the bags. My daughter has the larger size, that you can see here. Guessing it just depends on what you want the project bag for. Mine is the sock project bag & the larger is called the signature project bag. Ooooo, there’s a needle roll & a little notions pouch too! I had better start saving my pennies!!

There are lots of other fabrics to choose from too, so there is something for everyone! Ooo, you could mix and match!!! Ekkk!!!

I think one of the major bonuses for me, is the square base that they have. It’s great as the bag stands up, regardless of what you have in it. Nothing ever falls out, as it doesn’t tip over like a lot of other project bags. And I can’t do a proper review without talking about the handle!

Ok, hands up, I have used the handle of the bag, to carry around my project & crochet/knit at the same time. If any of you have little ones, you will definitely understand when I say – there are moments when you can totally knit/crochet whilst a little one is happily playing. But then all of a sudden they zoom off in a different direction! So with a project bag that goes over your arm – it takes the opportunity of crocheting/knitting to a whole other level! Another bonus of the handle is that it hangs off your chair whilst you are crocheting/knitting.

Now this chair could be in your garden, in your living room, bit more importantly – on the beach!!! Oh my! Can’t wait for that to happen! I know it’s a bit sad, but I have already tried it on my beach chair, in our garden & it works a treat!! Haha! So as and when a beach trip occurs, this little lady will be coming with me!!!

So to summarise, I absolutely love my little project bag from The love of Yarn! I cannot recommend it enough!! Hope you are one of the lucky ones, that has one in your life!! Fingers crossed!!

Well have a lovely rest of your Sunday.

Happy yarny day.
